Question from God: Can You TRUST Me?
Psalm 9:10 states this: “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” (ESV)
Before reading further, go back and re-read Psalm 9:10……
A mother battling cancer often asked herself the question: “Can I my children into God’s hands?”
Those children were on the threshold of adulthood. She really needed to know God would be there and help them during such a crucial time as adulthood.
This mother could be filled with fear, or she could trust God…
If we know the NAME of God, that alone answers the question. This mother knew if God can oversee the creation, the ways of a mighty nation like Israel, and begin and sustain the eternal kingdom, the church, she could commit and give her children to the oversight of God’s providential care.
She resigned her trust in the Lord who was helping her each day battle a terminal disease.
This mother died three years later with her children in the hands of a mighty God. Can you trust God as a child of His? (Psalm 37:5).
