“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,”

Colossians 1:13

God rescued us.  We often hear of someone being rescued from some life-threatening situation.  When we become a Christian God rescues us from a soul-threatening situation by saving us from the dark domain of the devil.

God transferred us.  Just as people sometimes transfer/move from one job to another, God moved us from Satan’s realm to His Son’s.  We now serve Him instead of Satan as citizens of His kingdom.
