“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Galatians 2:20

When we were crucified with Christ, “our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with,…” (Romans 6:6).  We were then raised with Him to “walk in newness of life” (6:3-4).  He provides the new life in us, so we now live by faith – no longer by sight or the guidance of the world.  We gladly undergo this death and enter into this new life because of His great sacrifice for us.  He gave Himself up for us, so we give ourselves up for Him.
