This Week’s Verse - Acts 11:26
“and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.”
Acts 11:26
It is interesting to note that the first place the disciples were called Christians is also the first place recorded that the gospel was preached to both Jews and Gentiles/Greeks (:19-20). Christ died for both, and when both were saved together (:21) they bore His name together. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Gal 3:28).
