This Week’s Verse - Romans 8:1

“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Romans 8:1

Because of our sin we deserve condemnation/death (6:23a), but God does not want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9).  He wants to bless us, and He does so in Christ, His Son (Eph 1:3).  When we enter into and remain in Christ, then we escape the condemnation we deserve and instead experience eternal life in Him (Rom 6:23b).  Praise be to God!
